Acupuncture Care

Acupuncture is a gentle, time-tested therapy that activates your body’s natural ability to heal, restore balance, and function at its best. By stimulating specific points with sterile, hair-thin needles, acupuncture helps regulate the nervous system, improve circulation, reduce tension, and support overall wellness. Whether you’re seeking greater vitality or addressing specific concerns, acupuncture provides a powerful, holistic path to better health.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years to restore balance and promote healing. Modern research continues to support its effectiveness for pain relief, stress regulation, improved function, and enhanced well-being.

Rather than simply managing symptoms, acupuncture works with the body’s own intelligence to encourage regulation, balance, and healing across multiple systems. It’s often deeply relaxing and restorative—many patients leave their sessions feeling calm, clear, and renewed.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many visits will I need?

  • That depends on your body, your goals, and how your system responds. Some people experience noticeable change quickly, while others benefit from a series of visits. We’ll continually reassess and tailor your plan so it fits you — not a cookie-cutter schedule.

Will I be adjusted or needled on the first visit?

  • Most often, yes — if your body is ready and there are no red flags. Before doing anything, I’ll explain the process, ask questions, and make sure you feel safe and in control. If you’d rather wait, that’s totally okay too.

Do you accept insurance?

  • No — we’re a self-pay practice and do not accept insurance or issue superbills. This allows me to focus fully on your care, without constraints from insurance networks. Payment is due at the time of service, and we offer packages and membership options to make regular care accessible.

What should I wear or bring?

  • Comfortable, flexible clothes are best — ones you can move in easily and come with an open mind and a willingness to heal.

Is this safe for kids, pregnancy, or seniors?

  • Yes. When performed thoughtfully and skillfully, chiropractic and acupuncture care can be adjusted to fit every life stage. I customize techniques to respect safety, comfort, and effectiveness for children, expectant moms, and older adults alike.

Can I benefit if I’m not in pain?

  • Absolutely. Many patients use these therapies as part of their wellness routine, helping their bodies stay in balance, resist stress, and maintain optimal function. It’s not just about fixing—it's about thriving.

How soon will I feel results?

  • This varies. Some people notice subtle changes — more ease, better sleep, less tension — right away. Others experience a gradual difference over multiple sessions. The goal is steady, consistent improvement, not a one-time magic fix.

Can I continue my regular activities after treatment?

  • Yes, in most cases. You’ll likely feel more relaxed and free afterward. I might suggest gentle modifications or rest depending on the intensity of what we did — but my aim is to integrate therapy into daily life, not remove you from it.

Are there any risks or side effects?

  • With experienced care, risks are minimal. You might feel mild soreness, a little fatigue, or slight bruising in rare cases. If you ever feel uneasy or have questions, just let me know — your comfort is a priority.

The Zone Technique

One of the methods that truly sets our practice apart is the Zone Technique — a gentle, precise approach that looks at the body through six key “zones.” Rather than chasing individual symptoms, we identify which zones are out of balance and direct care toward restoring proper function. It’s not about force — it’s about bringing the body back into harmony.

What It Is

The Zone Technique is based on the idea that the brain and nervous system control six primary systems in the body. Each system corresponds to a specific “zone,” and when one zone isn’t functioning optimally, the effects ripple throughout the entire body. By identifying and correcting imbalances at the zone level, we support the body’s ability to self-regulate and heal.

The Six Zones

  • Zone 1 – Glandular System: Supports hormonal balance, energy, focus, and immune function.

  • Zone 2 – Eliminative System: Involves the organs that detoxify and eliminate waste, supporting overall internal balance.

  • Zone 3 – Nervous System: Regulates the brain, spinal cord, and nerves — essential for communication throughout the body.

  • Zone 4 – Digestive System: Influences nutrient absorption, metabolism, and overall digestive health.

  • Zone 5 – Muscular System: Affects strength, posture, flexibility, and structural alignment.

  • Zone 6 – Circulatory System: Governs the heart, blood, and lymph flow — key to oxygen delivery, immune function, and healing.

Why It Matters

  • Zones function like control centers: when one is imbalanced, the entire system can be affected.

  • Correcting a single zone often produces improvements in multiple areas of health.

  • This is a systemic, intelligent way to work with the body — rather than chasing isolated symptoms.

How We Use It

  • Evaluate each zone through specific palpation and observation

  • Identify which zone(s) are under stress

  • Apply precise chiropractic adjustments tailored to those zones

  • Monitor how changes cascade through other systems

  • Reassess and refine over time to support lasting balance

  • This method aligns perfectly with our philosophy: treating the body as an integrated, intelligent system—not as a collection of separate parts.
